How the workshop works
Create a design from your logo
We turn your image into a printable lightbox model with correct dimensions.
Print the enclosure
You print parts, clean them, and prepare the body for LED installation.
Solder and wire LEDs
Tinning, flux, temperature, LED strip soldering, and button wiring with mentor support.
Take a finished lightbox home
Final assembly, testing, and a complete ready-to-use lightbox by the end.
What we cover
- •Turn a logo or image into a 3D model: outlines, depth, openings for LEDs, ports, and fasteners.
- •Design for FDM: wall thickness, panel gaps, splitting into printable parts, and minimizing supports.
- •Printing parts, support removal, and post-processing—mechanical fit before wiring.
- •Soldering kit: iron, solder, flux; tinning stranded wire, joint quality, and avoiding cold joints—safely.
- •Temperature practice for tinning and soldering pads; neat work with LED strips without overheating copper or LEDs.
- •Installing the strip, routing power, buttons, and on/off logic—no shorts, no overloaded drivers.
- •Final lightbox assembly, connection check, and demo of the finished piece.
