Kyiv. Intensive training. Practical experience, real-life cases, and informal conversations.
The first location was the Scientific and Artistic Platform “Ostrov” — a space whose experience will help make educational spaces even more powerful and useful for children and students. One of the founders, Roman Sakh, spoke about the creation of the Ostrov platform, its philosophy, and opportunities for young people. For over 10 years, this unique space in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv has been bringing together creators, urbanists, educators, artists, and architects who want to change the country. Ostrov has a fablab with lasers, engraving machines, and milling machines for working with wood, plastic, fabric, and metal. But its main value is the people who help master these technologies and turn ideas into real projects. During the trip, the teenagers and their mentors also visited the Kyiv Aviation Institute State University for educational purposes, took a tour of the Ajax laboratory, and visited the Ukrainian Future Incubator. After all, learning from real-life examples and the experience of others is an integral part of the development of any initiative. They returned with new knowledge, tools, and confidence: spaces where there are people, support, and meaning capable of nurturing the future. 💙
